Beyond the Page
I was born in Melbourne and it shows. I survived a Catholic education then worked for The Man, mainly in the area of systems analysis and design, until I got sick of it. Somehow I ended up in Sydney where I eventually became a naturopath and homoeopath. I have degrees in English, philosophy and complementary medicine.
My first novel, The Cartographer, received the Ned Kelly Award for Best First Fiction in 2012 and was long-listed for the Commonwealth Book Prize in 2013 and short-listed for an IndieAward. My second novel The Torch, and third, The Mazemaster, complete a trilogy.
My non-fiction writing has so far been in the field of homeopathy, which I practised for many years. I am a graduate of the Nature Care College of Natural & Traditional Medicine, the Australian Institute of Homeopathy and the British Institute of Homeopathy. I was formerly Head of the College of the Australian Institute of Homeopathy. Just saying.
I now live on the sunny Central Coast of New South Wales. I am interested in, well, everything.
