The book is about the vitalistic approach to homeopathic management of illness in the non-institutional setting.

Part 1 outlines the principles of vitalistic medicine as they relate to homeopathy.

Part 2 outlines the homeopathic concepts of acute and chronic disease, and the theory of the constitution.

Part 3 deals with the nature of homeopathic medicines, including the nature of potency itself, what the medicines do, and the relationship of symptoms to solutions. It also provides a revised homeopathic pharmacodynamic system.

Part 4 provides a revision, along classical lines, of homeopathic theory and the principles of homeopathic medicine, and an outline of its clinical applications. It thereby provides a vitalistic context for considering the kind of clinical decisions you as practitioner will be involved in daily.

In Part 5 the various homeopathic applications of potentised remedies are explained.

This will provide a theoretical groundwork for Books 2 and 3, which deal with homeopathic case management and isopathic therapy, respectively.
